'...And it burns but it turns out golden'

As we know, 'The Wanted's' self-titled debut album is out! Reaching Number 3 on the day of its release! A well deserved title for the boys! As you know I'm a big 'The Wanted' fan, but, I will do a 'fair-play' review of the album!

  1. ALL TIME LOW - Their debut single which went straight to number 1 and has been in the top 40 for 11 weeks! We cant go wrong with a bit of 'All Time Low'. Its certainly a winner! Very catchy! A hit at their gigs! Everyone sings along! Great start to the band.
  2. HEART VACANCY - Second single, different to their first - 'All Time Low', but a much loved track and a beautiful Ballad! The lyrics are great! Shows each of the boys talent through single but what about Nathan?
  3. LOSE MY MIND - This song is amazing live! I love this track! Really up-beat concert number! Loving the 'oooooh' parts! Love the chorus too, I love the way they have put across 'heart-ache'.
  4. REPLACE YOUR HEART - Written by Cathy Dennis - a big name! Certainly a boy-band track! But a great sing-along, and enjoyable.
  5. HI AND LOW - Not particularly my type of tune, but its growing on me. Brilliant ballad, definitely shows Jay's amazing talent! Good harmonies too!
  6. LETS GET UGLY - The intro reminds of of 'the Wild West', it adds mystery to the song. Interestingly composed, but it works really well! I love it! I love the lyrics its very 'Out There'.
  7. SAY IT ON THE RADIO - One of my favourites. I remember this live at the Halloween gig, it was amazing everyone enjoyed this one! The chorus is very cool 'so go on go on go on just play it!' The song flows, I like how its performed towards the end. Great!
  8. GOLDEN - I never thought I would like this track, but Its great! Holds a lot of deep meaning, especially in the chorus, that has stuck in my mind. Represents life, the chorus basically says, from my point of view is 'We try and we fail, but we carry on even if it hard and we get their in the end.'
  9. WEAKNESS - Not the best track, but it still works. I like the twist in it at the end and the solo parts.
  10. PERSONAL SOLDIER - I adore this track! It has a lot of personal meaning to it for me. I like the use of the 'Soldier' metaphor to create the lyrics. The chorus is so powerful and holds deep meaning. I would love to see this being performed for the upcoming 'Poppy Appeal' or any other 'Armed Forces' cause.
  11. BEHIND BARS - I love this 'Up-beat' tune. Again, this is great live! Its a dramatic piece, the chorus is amazing, LOVE IT!
  12. MADE - I really love this one too, its quite 'Dark' and 'Edgy'. It reminds me of all the 'Major' - 'Hardcore' 'The Wanted' fans out there, expresses their feelings. Great track!
  13. A GOOD DAY FOR LOVE TO DIE - Another favourite, great melody in this one! Love the lyrics too, engages your mind. Great 'Ending' on the album!
OVERALL - An amazing album! Not what I expected! There's certainly a song for everyone in this album, each song is different from the other. I can see the hard effort put in. Certainly 'echos' #TWfanmily 's voice too! Its easily to relate to the themes in the songs. Doesn't matter how big a 'The Wanted' fan you are, this is a MUST BUY! May be hard to choose though, it comes in SIX amazing editions!

'And if you know, how do you get up from a all time low?'

Me + Ashleigh

WOW. What an amazing day.

Just came back from London, HMV Forum where I met 'The Wanted' after an amazing 'Halloween' performance !

So it goes like this -

Friday night I checked my emails, as I did constantly all week to see if I had won the tickets. When the email popped up I ran down stairs in excitement and told my Mum. We organised it all, went down TK Maxx and got a red dress and some devil accessories as it was a special 'Halloween' performance.

On #MAXMONDAY me and Ashleigh  took a train down to the forum. 300 people had queued over night to get wristbands for entry through HMV, Oxford street, and the Que was trailing all down the road outside the venue even at 2 hours until show time. But this was definitely not one to miss!

OMW! Its JAYNE!
Queuing didnt drag. After about 20mins, there was a massive scream. Me and Ashleigh ran up the que and Jayne had her flip camera. Everyone screamed when she went past so we stopped to get filmed, ran back down to 'The Parents' where she filmed some more. She stopped and said that she saw my twitpic from this morning and took a picture of me and Ashleigh on her iphone. WOW.

In the venue, everyone was preparing themselves for the entry of 'The Wanted'. Whenever a song stopped, everyones phones came out, followed by a huge sigh when the next tune played.

The lights dimmed out and everyone screamed ! Jayne came out on stage to say thank-yous followed by a MTV Representative who introduced.....

THE WANTED !

From left - Nathan, Jay, Max, Tom, Siva
The energy from the concert was amazing. Everyone was singing along to 'Lose My Mind' , 'Say It On The Radio', 'Behind Bars', and 'Heart Vacancy'. Some fans got pulled onto the stage for the best costume, I LOVED the ipods ! They were brilliant! Then everyone did 'The Time Warp' which I had been practicing at the weekend. AWESOME! They left the stage and many people moved ready for the signing. I knew It wasnt over because what about 'All Time Low' ?

I grabbed Ashleigh into a gap near the front, and the boys jumped out on to the stage! - 'AND IF YOU KNOW, HOW DO YOU GET UP FROM AN ALL TIME LOW!'

NATHAN!
The boys halloween costumes were great ! Alot of effort ! Nathan was a fly which was awesome and did his amazing fly impression! 'NEEEEEEEEEEEE!' Jay was a 'Avatar Navi', Siva was a Vampire, Max was 'The Joker' and threw his wig into the audience and Tom was  insane guy with a chainsaw with a afro wig!

After the performance, we bought some 'The Wanted' merchandise and queued for the signing.  My Mum rang me saying she was standing opposite them waiting for us, I didn't believe her... It took 2 hours to see them but It was well worth it! When we got to them my Mum and Nicky were standing opposite them. FOR AN HOUR ! They even got to stay when they had their break. Nicky got a 'chat-up line' from Max, - The  Mums favourite ! He burped and she laughed so he said, 'Its got to come out'.

After their break they had to brush their teeth for the next lot of fans, Nathan had been eating 'Walkers' cheese and onion crisps  Nathans friends from GMD3 (Band on Youtube) were there to show their support.

I was dead opposite Siva, 'How are you doing? Nice outfit!' I went all speechless and shy and I could only do a small laugh and a smile. Jay said that he liked my costume too and that I had four horns which was 'cool' (small ones on my mask), they were curious about my album as it was a copy of the 'ComeRound' edition for the release parties, Jay was like 'Ha! Im fascinated by my own album !' He showed Tom, so I told them it was from 'Come Round' he said it was cool and passed it to Max who said I was a 'Little Devil' .
Signed Cd

On the end was Nathan. Yes I do fancy him - 'Team Sykes' of course! , he signed the CD and I asked him for a hug, 'Yeah sure' ....

I have officially met 'The Wanted' and saw them perform live !

WOW. What an amazing day.
