'Let the music...begin!'

Last weekend, I went on a little excursion to the O2 to see The X factor Tour, courtesy of six tokens I collected in the Sun newspaper.

Generally, people hype and debate about the contestants during the series, become Team Simon, follow the acts of twitter. Then six months down the line...zilch. We forget who won, what single they released and completely forget the others until they release a début single which makes you go, 'Oh yeah...I forgot about him.' E.g. Joe McElderry.

But! To be fair, the One Direction fanbase is still continuing, everyone still mentions Cher Lloyd's eyebrows and Aiden Grimshaw is constanly trending on twitter to get him signed. So this year is quite a win for the X Factor this year. But, as per usual, the winner doesn't always end up doing the best, hay?

The tour was alot better than I thought it would be. I even think ive caught the most minscule amount of One-Direction infection even if they did sing the most cheesiest song choices ever!

To be honest, as much dig as she gets, Cher was the best. She is due to release a single soon which I will probably buy because I am expecting great things. I reckon she'll to a lot of Ft.'s for artists in the future.

If I went on from here Ill just be repeating myself from a few months ago when the contest was still running, and yes they are just as good live as they were on television, and there was no miming at all *Justin Bieber* COUGH!

Of course, It brought along some amazing photography opportunities as we were on level one directly infront of the centre stage. As soon as Cher Lloyd jumped off that thing I legged it down the stairs and got told off. Oops.

Any-ways. Its been a bit of a boring blog so lets end it on a bright note with some amazingly close pictures I got of the tour....

'Moo to you too!'

The other weekend, The Wanted boys ♥ did a gig at tower bridge to advertise for their milk campaign - 'Make Mine Milk'. Fans waited and
waited, screamed, cried, jumped, and had painted on milk moustaches....

Who has seen this on the bus?

After the pacing of Jayne and the flip and all the other crew moving around and making the crowd endlessley scream every time the music stopped playing. The boys came onto the scene, starting with Nathan James Sykes.

Jay:'If any of you have lactose intolerance,
the snipers are out there to get you!'
Nathan : ':O'
Set List: Heart Vacancy, Lose My Mind, Behind Bars and Replace Your Heart (sorry if there are errors, Im sure there was another...let me know)

As always, another great performance. Everyone sent out hand hearts, jumped to the music and religiously swayed their hands in the air for 'Heart Vacancy'

There was a 'Milk Downing' contest too. Nathan cheated, which was quite funny and Jay has a record time!

As always, the boys sense of humour gets everyone except an unexpected comment Jay made....

THE WANTED

(Not the best pictures - will add more in a separate post... wasn't trusted taking the proper one -__-)

'Shakira! Shakira!'

Im so sorry for the neglect guys!

Today its Shakira's Birthday! So heres the blog of her concert (Just a short one)...

New band for 2011 : Parade
Debut Single: Louder
I have heard and tweeted Shakira's support group, Parade. I love their music and style! They will definitely be in the fashion magazines in 2011! There's no doubt that their debut single, 'Louder' will be a chart topper...

Look out for them this year! They will be mentioned soon...

After an anticipated wait, Shakira made her entrance. She walked through the standing crowd, singing her opening song. It was amazing, such a brave and unexpected thing to do...

Shakira after her dramatic entrance!

After completing her gentle-Spanish melody in a pink, gypsy style wedding dress, Shakira got the real-deal going...

She ripped off her Gypsy dress and released her inner rock-chick. Unfortunately, I am unsure of the song names, but she sure got the crowd going....

Shakira and Fans

Shakira had many surprises in-store. She invited some fans onto the stage to dance with her....Jealous! Who wouldn't be?

I didn't stay for the whole duration due to an emergency. However, Shakira is an amazing vocalist, she's so diverse to other artists today she stands out with a significant talent. No wonder she's a big, international star....

  • Meet a celebrity. (Hopefully! I am starstruck! Magazines and twitter - I have it all!)
  • Complete a photography project (Me and my camera and some creativity).
  • Meet someone new. (My social life is on the brink of death).
  • Visit a tourist site. (London is a big and partially unexplored place...)
  • Do a canvas painting. (Theres a blank one infront of me, and has been for months. Art, my favourite subject)
  • Watch the Sex and the City films. (I've always wanted to watch them).
  • Play a game of scrabble. (Loads of people talk about it, and I have never played it).
  • Give up Facebook for a whole week. (Dont get it, life killer).
  • Get a A* in something. (I love the sense of achievement)
  • Go to the imax cinema. (Never been)

and Mr Kaneswaran is getting into it!

Jump from Tinie!

'Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball...with Windows 7!'

Its a little late but let me tell you about London's hottest concert...

On the 5th of December, me and Kelsey (twitter:@kelseytemple) ventured out to London's O2 Arena to see Kylie, Example, Jay Sean, The Saturdays, , Labrinth, Flo-Rida, Scouting for Girls, Cee-Lo Green, JLS, Akon, The Wanted and Tinie Tempah...

The JBB is a pretty long show, around 5 and a half hours, but it flys by had such a great time. But lets carry on...

Sexy Party!
Kylie started the show, she didn't really get the crowd going that well. But...her dancers?! WOW!Can we join your sexy party Kylie please??

Example then came on, thats when the crowd kicked off! We stood up to the well known chart-topping single 'Kickstarts', and he rocked out a few new beats. Christmas List: Example's album for sure!

Jay Sean was also amazing! He filmed the crowd and is amazing live. He even pointed at us and said 'Hey sexy ladies!' Yes it was definitely us....

The Saturdays! WOW! Gutted I'm not going to their concert....When 'Higher' kicked off and Flo-Rida came out that seriously got the party started! Loved it! They know how to put on a show which many girl bands fail to do these days.

Labrinth. But give the guy a break! He is a one hit wonder at this time but he's expected to be big in 2011! Expect a Sunshine of confetti from him. We got what we expected there and then!

'Catch the T-shirt' with Flo!
Flo-Rida was a phenomenal! That guy had the whole package! He took his T-shirt off to reveal a....VEST! Haha! He eventually took that off to, along with throwing t-shirts (even christened with Flo-Rida sweat!) into the audience and even did a crowd surf! And gave away his gold medallion. Of course he also said 'Hey sexy ladies up top' Pointing in our direction, up top. Yes it was us again of course! Then recieved a RT that night from him!

I have a personal love for Scouting For Girl's music. Live band and perfect vocals! Amazing! Everyone stood up and sang (especially me!). I would seriously like to see you guys dance and do something beyond your designated instruments! Great performance though.

JLS!
Due to being stuck in Amsterdam in the snow, luckily, for us Sunday Jingle Ballers we got to have a jam with Cee Lo Green! He even sang us 'Crazy', a past hit by his former band Gnarls Barkley! And of course the amazing song 'Forget You' and one of his new songs,

JLS. Kelsey's obsession. I cant deny that they were amazing! They can sing, dance and perform! Obviously Aston did his famous back-flip! They sang all their good songs too. BONUS!

Here they come!
A big name, Akon took to the stage! I am not a HUGE fan of his music but he was still a good performer.

The Wanted. As you know I am a massive fan of the boys! They are just so great live! They performed really well, all three singles too! Ok, I will contain myself and not blab on but they were AMAZING! Nathan looked at me. Just saying....

The only man who can pull off red & yellow
without looking like a Butlin's employee
right?

Tinie Tempah! He ended the show amazingly! Loads of people started to walk out before the end. 'Wheres my full clap where's my encore?!' And then....PASS OUT!

So if your stuck on your Christmas list next year purchase Jingle Bell Ball tickets? You will not be disappointed Amazing night! 5/5! I wouldn't lie to you...

'We will remember them'

Today is Remembrance Sunday

We remember all of those men and women who have died in the wars, experienced them and those who are still going. I take my hat off to them. So brave and heroic. All my love goes out to them today and the families who have been affected: Lost someone or have a loved one injured. The world is a tough place, and these guys fight on. Sometimes, in worse cases, fight until death or fatal injury which affects lives forever. I give all my respect and love to them. We will remember them

'#itsaTWthing'

Sorry to any reader who is bored of me talking about TW, but there will be some unrealated 'Wanted' posts soon....

'TW Fan Friday' the 5th of 'NathanNovemeber'

'The Wanted's' book release.'

So they say.....

I go to one of the BIGGEST shopping centres in England. Also considered in the whole of Europe too. It goes by the name 'Bluewater' ? Yes, most of you will know it. And they dont have The book in ANY stores on its 'Release Date'.Including Waterstones and WHsmiths. GUTTED. Especially when loads of fans are expecting it on the release date. Which didnt really exist...not for me anyway.

I wanted to take the day off school so I could que at Waterstones, Picadilly, London. My Mum wouldnt let me. Signing was at 5pm so there was no way of me making it after school, considering you had to be the first 400. Bit of an awkward day to choose for a signing....

I eventually got the book the day after. I had to pay a HUGE postage to get it delivered on time. So, over the weekend I read....

The Verdict

The book was quite short in its-self, but It got accross its purpose. I like the way they have sections for each band-member, its amazing to read their differences and similarities. I love the exclusive pictures aswell. I have definately learnt more about the band.

Thing is. Sorry to be critical but...Obviously someone is going to edit their own stories but the writing style wasnt personal to each of the members. It was the same the whole way through so it didnt really sound like it was totally from them. It was a great read though! It makes you realise that celebrities are still 'Normal' everyday people, which is what we forget sometimes.

But.

Dont always believe whats written on paper.  Trust me.

'I'm your biggest fan I'll follow you until you love me'

Well.

Today I have realised what a true fan is.

If you can relate to this in anyway, then, that's good.

Today a rumour has spread that Nathan Sykes, from 'The Wanted' is dating Cher Lloyd from the 'X-Factor', so he loses over SIX THOUSAND followers. He has never met her, and says allegations are not true. Although, like Tom joked, it would be funny if a picture of them was posted. But that's not the point.....

The point is....

How can you say your a fan and then send hate messages to him? Talk about 'Fans'. That's completely gone out the window. Even if he was dating, we should be happy for him, not hate on him. Of course were all going to be a bit jealous of the lucky lady, but come on #TWfanmily ! Sykes is happy!

This has also happened to other celebrities, including Jasmine Villegas.

As a wise man once said -
'A fan isn't someone who's there at the beginning, its someone who's there until the end'

Thanks to all the fans who stuck by him. You are being true

'...And it burns but it turns out golden'

As we know, 'The Wanted's' self-titled debut album is out! Reaching Number 3 on the day of its release! A well deserved title for the boys! As you know I'm a big 'The Wanted' fan, but, I will do a 'fair-play' review of the album!

  1. ALL TIME LOW - Their debut single which went straight to number 1 and has been in the top 40 for 11 weeks! We cant go wrong with a bit of 'All Time Low'. Its certainly a winner! Very catchy! A hit at their gigs! Everyone sings along! Great start to the band.
  2. HEART VACANCY - Second single, different to their first - 'All Time Low', but a much loved track and a beautiful Ballad! The lyrics are great! Shows each of the boys talent through single but what about Nathan?
  3. LOSE MY MIND - This song is amazing live! I love this track! Really up-beat concert number! Loving the 'oooooh' parts! Love the chorus too, I love the way they have put across 'heart-ache'.
  4. REPLACE YOUR HEART - Written by Cathy Dennis - a big name! Certainly a boy-band track! But a great sing-along, and enjoyable.
  5. HI AND LOW - Not particularly my type of tune, but its growing on me. Brilliant ballad, definitely shows Jay's amazing talent! Good harmonies too!
  6. LETS GET UGLY - The intro reminds of of 'the Wild West', it adds mystery to the song. Interestingly composed, but it works really well! I love it! I love the lyrics its very 'Out There'.
  7. SAY IT ON THE RADIO - One of my favourites. I remember this live at the Halloween gig, it was amazing everyone enjoyed this one! The chorus is very cool 'so go on go on go on just play it!' The song flows, I like how its performed towards the end. Great!
  8. GOLDEN - I never thought I would like this track, but Its great! Holds a lot of deep meaning, especially in the chorus, that has stuck in my mind. Represents life, the chorus basically says, from my point of view is 'We try and we fail, but we carry on even if it hard and we get their in the end.'
  9. WEAKNESS - Not the best track, but it still works. I like the twist in it at the end and the solo parts.
  10. PERSONAL SOLDIER - I adore this track! It has a lot of personal meaning to it for me. I like the use of the 'Soldier' metaphor to create the lyrics. The chorus is so powerful and holds deep meaning. I would love to see this being performed for the upcoming 'Poppy Appeal' or any other 'Armed Forces' cause.
  11. BEHIND BARS - I love this 'Up-beat' tune. Again, this is great live! Its a dramatic piece, the chorus is amazing, LOVE IT!
  12. MADE - I really love this one too, its quite 'Dark' and 'Edgy'. It reminds me of all the 'Major' - 'Hardcore' 'The Wanted' fans out there, expresses their feelings. Great track!
  13. A GOOD DAY FOR LOVE TO DIE - Another favourite, great melody in this one! Love the lyrics too, engages your mind. Great 'Ending' on the album!
OVERALL - An amazing album! Not what I expected! There's certainly a song for everyone in this album, each song is different from the other. I can see the hard effort put in. Certainly 'echos' #TWfanmily 's voice too! Its easily to relate to the themes in the songs. Doesn't matter how big a 'The Wanted' fan you are, this is a MUST BUY! May be hard to choose though, it comes in SIX amazing editions!
